About Cliniquorix: Web Design for UK Private Clinics

Cliniquorix designs, writes and builds websites for private clinics in the UK. We focus on one kind of client so we can know the rules, the patients and the practical details that clinic websites depend on.

Why clinics only

A clinic website is not a brochure with a booking button. It describes treatments that carry real risks to people who are often anxious, it sits under advertising rules written specifically for health, and in England it may have to show a regulator's rating. Patients judge it on whether it answers their questions honestly. Getting those details right is easier when it is all you do.

Focusing on private clinics means our page templates, writing checklists and launch checks are built around the questions that come up on clinic sites: how to describe a treatment without promising outcomes, how to show a CQC rating, how to keep health data out of a contact form, and how to talk about consultations for treatments that involve prescription-only medicines.

What we believe a clinic website should do

  • Answer questions in the order patients ask them. What is it, who does it, what does it cost, how do I book.
  • Be honest about what treatment can and cannot do. Describing a treatment accurately is better for patients and safer for clinics than promising results.
  • Make it easy to check the people involved. Every clinician linked to their public register entry.
  • Collect as little personal data as possible. Contact details on the website; clinical details in clinical systems.
  • Work for everyone. Usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, a phone in bright sunlight and a browser zoomed to 200 per cent.

How we work

We work in four written stages, set out on our process page, with your approval at each one. We write the content ourselves, from short questionnaires and calls with your clinicians, and your clinicians check it for accuracy before anything goes live. We quote from a written site plan rather than fixed packages, as the pricing page explains.

We work remotely, by video call and email, so a clinic anywhere in the UK can work with us without travel time being added to the cost.

What we will not do

  • Write claims a clinic cannot support, or promote prescription-only medicines to the public.
  • Use stock photos of people presented as your staff or patients.
  • Publish testimonials or before and after photos without evidence that they are genuine and permission to use them.
  • Collect health information through general website forms when a safer route exists.
  • Promise search rankings.
  • Give legal or medical advice. Where a page touches a regulated area, we point to the rule and the guidance, and your clinicians or advisers decide.

Our guides

The guides on this site explain the rules and decisions that shape clinic websites. They are written by our editor, Matthew Collins, a pen name used for the site's editorial work, and follow our editorial policy: regulators and legislation first, secondary sources labelled, and a date showing when each guide was last checked. We aim for them to be useful to any clinic, whether or not it ever works with us.

Ownership and contact

The owner of Cliniquorix has commercial interests in web design services. Cliniquorix is responsible for the personal data described in our privacy notice. The simplest way to reach us is by email at hello@cliniquorix.site, or through the contact page. We reply within two working days.
